One of the great things about being a Stocktake UK franchisee is that it allows me to use my 30+ years of experience running leisure\entertainment venues, without the downside of working weekends and public holidays. Even though I’ve been running my business for some time, I still get a buzz from seeing my advice positively effecting my clients. Just recently I identified a client was suffering from excess wastage and with just few procedural tweaks I was able to boost their GP by 2%.

I clearly remember starting out with Stocktake UK, and am thankful for the help and support I received from Head Office. I know that they are with me and want me to succeed. I’ve also been fortunate enough to work with a number of other franchisees and they’ve all been so helpful. It has been great to be a member of the Stocktake UK family.

Away from stocktaking I’m a devoted family man and dog lover. I enjoy (in the loosest possible terms) chasing a little white ball around a field. I’m also a big Hull City fan and season ticket holder. A sports fan in general, and can happily watch most sports. I enjoy cooking, albeit in a very rustic way, you can’t beat a good Sunday roast. I enjoy a good flavoured gin, even if counting the endless bottles of them at the back of the bar is a challenge!

If I was to offer advice to my younger self, I would tell them try this work/life route earlier.

My current aim is to try and do less miles in the car. So if you run a hospitality business in my area (York, Scarborough, Harrogate and East Yorkshire), it would be great to speak to you and maybe I can boost your profit in the same way I’ve helped others.
