Based in Shrewsbury and covering Mold, Wrexham, Telford
In March 2015 I had the opportunity to work for myself and shape my own future.
As a Stocktaker in Mid-Wales and Shropshire, I was initially reliant on the work provided through the support of the office my business has grown organically through word of mouth and direct leads. I work with a variety of hospitality venues including golf clubs, holiday park resorts, bars, country and town pubs, nightclubs, licensed cafes, boutique and branded hotels and students’ unions. The work life balance on the whole is pretty good with the flexibility to fill your work diary around family and other commitments a bonus.
I came from an operational background working in senior management roles across branded and unbranded bars, nightclubs, restaurants and social enterprises, which carried with it an extensive knowledge of stock management and stocktaking procedures.
I still complete some corporate work both independently and as part of a team of four, but the majority of my business is from longstanding clients.
Outside of stocktaking I spend most of my time with my friends, family and four children, exploring the fantastic opportunities that living in North Wales provides, from kayaking on one of the many lakes, walking our dog through the countryside to days out on the beach. I also enjoy travel both to explore food, drink and culture around Europe or unwind with a good crime novel by a sunny pool.
If you could go back in time and offer your former self any advice what would it be?
Time flies – Remember to enjoy every moment, its an opportunity to shape your own future
